Rabbi Avi Hoffman
Rav Beit HaSefer
Rabbi Avi Hoffman has spent the last fifteen years connecting, learning, and teaching Torah and Judaism to The Greater Westchester Jewish community through The JRE--the Jewish Renaissance Experience. In addition to The JRE, six years ago he assumed the role of Rav Beit HaSefer at WTA. He spends his days at WTA running the morning minyan, and teaching Torah to students of all grades, with an extra emphasis in the middle school. Rabbi Avi especially enjoys digging into the insightful questions that his students ask--be they 8th graders, preparing for high school, or 1st graders with surprisingly shrewd questions--and always makes a point of answering at the perfect level for his students to understand. Of course, whenever the opportunity presents itself, he fires up the grill, bringing smiles to the students and families, and developing both body and soul.
Rabbi Avi lives in White Plains with his wife Shana, an LMHC, and his five children.
