WTA’s Early Childhood program is designed to cultivate children’s natural desire to learn. In our dual language Montessori classrooms, we craft a safe environment that has opportunities for choices that are developmentally appropriate and encourage building natural skills. Classroom learning activities are called “work” and are constructed to foster focus and concentration, as well as self directed learning, respect for materials and the environment. The teacher, referred to by Maria Montessori as ‘directress”, observes each of the students and offers individual lessons based on readiness and abilities to instill confidence and independence. Each classroom hosts a Hebrew speaking and an English speaking teacher. Students are privy to work with specialists in music and movement.
